Braking
System: Service braking is provided by
the guideway based LSM. Supplementary service, emergency, and parking
braking is provided by the vehicle based electromagnetic friction
brake. |

Suspension
System: The
secondary vertical suspension consists of airbag springs and
feedback controlled magneto-rheological dampers, provided by
Lord Corp. The lateral suspension features an adjustable spring
rate utilizing pairs of double acting air cylinders, and, again,
MR controllable dampers. |

| Supplementary Support System: Vertical and lateral wheels are provided to support the vehicle at low speeds and to protect the magnet systems during testing. |
